    Halawa Beach Park
    Containing two contrasting beaches, the sandy Kama'alaea and the rocky Kawailli, Halawa Beach is used for a number of activities. In the winter, the waters off of the beach are great for surfing. Fishing and picnicking are also popular activities. Keep in mind that there are no lifeguards to supervise this area. This beach is located on the east side of Molokai island at the end of Highway 450.

    Mo'omomi Beach

    Part of the Mo'omomi Preserve, the Mo'omomi Beach is accessible only by a dirt road. The shoreline can only be swum in during the summer months, because in the winter the water is too rough and dangerous. There are many hiking trails that can be explored on guided hikes through the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii or on self-guided hikes. Visitors can fish and camp by permit in this area.

    Green Sands Beach
    This unique green sand beach is also known as Papakolea Beach and is located at the southern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii in the Puna District. It's great for hiking across rugged terrain and no facilities or water is available. The only way to access this beach is by four-wheel drive or by hiking six miles from South Point, Ka Lae.

    Murphy's Beach
    Located on the road to Halawa Beach, Murphy Beach Park boasts a palm-lined beach that is used for swimming, snorkeling, diving and windsurfing. Protected by a reef, the water here is a calmer, but visitors should be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty. This beach is found off of Highway 450 east near Mile Marker 20.

    Papohaku Beach Park
    Papohaku Beach Park parallels the Pacific Ocean coastline for 3 mi (4.8 km), boasting a sandy and often quiet beach. Located on the island of Molokai, the water is great for snorkeling and diving, and offers fair swimming. There are no lifeguards, so visitors must be cautious, especially during the winter months with the tide is higher.
