Halawa Beach Park Containing two contrasting beaches, the sandy Kama'alaea and the rocky Kawailli, Halawa Beach is used for a number of activities. In the winter, the waters off of the beach are great for surfing. Fishing and picnicking are also popular activities. Keep in mind that there are no lifeguards to supervise this area. Murphy's Beach Located on the road to Halawa Beach, Murphy Beach Park boasts a palm-lined beach that is used for swimming, snorkeling, diving and windsurfing. Protected by a reef, the water here is a calmer, but visitors should be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty. This beach is found off of Highway 450 east near Mile Marker 20.
